“Art is for everybody”- Director Rajiv menon!
After giving out the nostalgic “Kandukondein Kandukondein, director Rajiv Menon comes after a long gap for a musical drama, which is titled as Saravam Thaaala Mayam.
The film has actor G.V.Prakash Kumar as the lead, and Oscar winner A.R.Rahman’s music which is the highlight of the film.
Here comes Director Rajiv menon to share his experience on working for STM, where he said ” STM is inspired from my mother, who is a great singer and sings from the heart. Her choice and approach towards music is highly different.
When I made her visit our Recording studio, with thousands of musicians taking part, she was awestruck, and just said that, she doesn’t want these many people to sing.
Further adding about the film, and the Casteism involved in music industry, he said ” Art is entirely for every body. The most celebrated Gandhi film is from a foreigner, and Elizabeth portrayal in a film is by an Indian! So, you can’t break or split art as it is universal!
When I went into the shoes of Peter, it urged me to do,” Sarvam Thaaala mayam”.
STM is directed by Rajivmenon, and will hit the screens soon. The film had its single tracks out, which had a great response from the audience.
STM is produced by Mindscreen cinemas.
